Benefit from Our Commitment to Green Building Practices and Environmental Responsibility

The concept of environmental responsibility and Green Building Practices is an eco-friendly umbrella under which we approach every project for every client.

That means we will present all clients with information on the financial, health, and environmental advantages that sustainable design and green building can bring to their project, enabling them to make informed choices throughout the design and building/remodeling process. We will tailor our green building applications to exactly what fits your objectives and budget.

In practice, we employ practices and products that reduce environmental impacts during construction and throughout the life of the project. We use local suppliers and recycle on site. We do our own millwork and use FSC-certified wood from suppliers that support managed forestry. We can choose from a wide range of low-to-no VOC paints and finishes. We know what products are the most eco-friendly and what materials are the best for sustainability. And we work with respected resources such as the U.S. Green Building Council's Green Home Guide to share eco-friendly best practices.

Our commitment to healthy and environmentally friendly Green Building Practices includes use of the following green products:

  • Decra Roofing – Stone-coated steel roofing systems;
  • James Hardie – Siding, trim, soffit, and building materials;
  • CertainTeed – AirRenew Gypsum Board;
  • Bonded Logic – "Ultra Touch" denim insulation;
  • Panasonic – "Whisper Green" ventilation;
  • Sherwin Williams - Harmony no-VOC paint;
  • ToTo USA – Water-saving bathroom faucets and toilets; and
  • Crossville – Eco-friendly tile.

Our A Greener Home Design Center and interior designers will show you thoughtful and innovative approaches to decorating your home in a manner that's healthier for you and the environment. We have access to a wide range of energy efficient and water-saving products and eco-friendly building products, materials, and finishes, and we know what to use to deliver the best value for every project. We Recycle Construction Debris and Waste.

To minimize the environmental impact of remodeling and construction, we collect all waste materials on site and transfer them to Mercer Group International, located in Trenton, NJ, one of today's leading recycling companies. They recycle those materials into products that can be used again. The more material they recover, the more material is kept out of landfills.

Mercer Group International is a state-of-the-art Material Recovery Facility and Transfer Station. Their LEED Accredited operation keeps these products out of landfills:

  • Plastic
  • Vinyl Siding
  • Cast Iron
  • Wood
  • Cardboard/Paper
  • Metal
  • Asphalt Shingles
  • PVC
  • Copper
  • Concrete

Cabinetry with finish is donated to Habitat for Humanity or a reconditioning company.

Our work with Mercer Group and other environmentally responsible organizations keeps fresh our commitment to provide you a safe, sustainable, and eco-friendly project, regardless of its size or complexity.
