Recently, we worked on a project to prevent flood damage to a home in Lower Makefield, PA.

In 2005, floodwaters flowed down the driveway and into the garage of this Lower Makefield, PA home, damaging the basement, laundry and family rooms and costing the homeowners more than $20,000. To prevent this from happening again, we built brick-and-mortar planters and a pair of aluminum panels which could be fitted snugly between them when floodwaters threatened. When the floods of July 2006 came, only a thin layer of water slipped 4 feet into the garage. Read an article about this project in the Bucks County Courier Times.
Provided mold remediation and restored structure of fire-damaged 18th century antique home. Replaced 70% of the roofing system creating vaulted ceilings, installed and trimmed new windows with simulated, divided light grill patterns and colonial grills to match the existing custom trimmed windows, sanded, stained and refinished the original wide-plank wood floors and installed two-zone heating and air conditioning system with ductwork. Installed built-in bookcases, barn siding wainscoting and replaced kitchen and bath fixtures, carpentry and plumbing. Rewired most of the house and installed fire separation walls creating three legal apartments with separate utilities.
Repaired working fireplace. Installed built-in shelving and and restored original hardwood wide plank flooring with natural tongue oil finish.
